Week 2   Hello Again!

Just wanted to get in touch & see how you all are?

It’s been nearly two weeks for most of us since all non essential business had to close, does it seem like it’s been that long to you?

To me I can’t say that it does as we’ve been so busy dealing with salon business mainly around team wages & financial aspects that I honestly don’t know where the time has gone. Being on hold on the phone for a long periods of time is quite normal at the moment as the things that I’m normally used to – quick email replies, online chats all seem to have been replaced by the continuous (not usually so good!) music & the “we are sorry but our lines are exceptionally busy right now” messages. It can be frustrating but think we are all in the same position right now.

So my light relief when I’ve needed a break from the office work has been deep cleaning our kitchen – Oh the Joy! but got to be done. I’m not finished yet but will feel a sense of achievement when I have.

What have you been up to, homeschooling, decorating or clutter clearing like me?

I have also in the last two days been watching Joe & Dave Dunwell on FB live at 6pm, some of you will know them as they are local musicians & anyone who knows me knows I like live music. It’s nice just for an hour to hear them singing & chatting – some light relief towards the end of the day.

Oh & last night after that I was amazed at the support displayed around where we live for the NHS, clapping, cheering, people banging on their pots & pans, its was unbelievable & so emotional. One of our neighbours & many of our clients work in the NHS, many we have spoken to are exhausted, my heart truly goes out to them, but I feel it’s not just them but their families that are under pressure at this time too. So many people like postal workers, staff in the supermarkets keeping those aspects of our daily lives going & those in our local shops being open & offering deliveries – so amazing. I feel guilty for being at home.

Lots of you have also got in touch to very kindly ask us how our daughter Ellie is, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for thinking of her & us. She is doing fine, they have been in a lockdown situation in NY for three weeks now & I know the news from there is not good but we are thankfull she is staying well & healthy. Anyone else have anyone abroad?

As well as continuing with the office work & deep clean over the coming days/weeks I was wanting to spend some time on looking at ways we can improve our business – services – client care – everything basically. So I was hoping you would be willing to share any ideas you would have as to how we can improve from a clients point of view please? Are there any particular services we do not offer you would be interested in? How do you feel we could improve your experience from the minute you walk in the door or call us to the minute you leave?

So I apologize I have probably rattled on long enough but before I finish I just want to remind you to please reach out if there is anything we can be doing to help you right now

I love that lots of people got in touch from last weeks email so please even if you just want to chat feel free to do so – its nice to hear how you are.

Thank you for reading. Take care, Stay safe
